    Zdenek Blatny leaves AHL Springfield, joins Swedish team MoDo

    The 25-year-old Blatny had six goals and seven assists in 19 games with Springfield this season. He was selected 68th overall by Atlanta in 1999 and has appeared in 25 NHL games with the Thrashers and Boston Bruins.

    Blatny earlier spent two seasons with the Western Hockey League's Kootenay Ice, where he was part of the team that went to the Memorial Cup in 2000.
