The Buffalo Sabres continue to add to their goaltending crop, signing Eric Comrie to a two-year deal worth $1.8-million AAV.
Comrie had a strong year in Winnipeg, posting a 10-5-1 record with a .920 save percentage. Comrie has always been a backup, but with Malcolm Subban and Craig Anderson in Buffalo's court, he'll have an opportunity to fight for more starts in the best opportunity of his career.
Still, this seems like a good fit, and the Sabres have some good goalie depth to work with, while allowing Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen the opportunity to get some more development work in the AHL.
