Former Blue Jacket Andrew Peeke Lost To Injury, Is Listed As "Week-To-Week"

Former Columbus Blue Jacket defenseman Andrew Peeke, who managed to stay healthy in limited action for the CBJ, is now sidelined due to a hand injury per Bruins Head Coach Jim Montgomery. He announced the injury yesterday.

Montgomery said Peeke is "week-to-week" and didn't travel to Toronto. The Bruins called up a player from Providence to replace Peeke with some Columbus connections, Mason Lohrei. Lohrei played two seasons at Ohio State before turning pro.

Andrew Peeke played in 23 games for the Blue Jackets this past season. He scored a goal and totaled 8 points before trading in his Union Blue for Black and Gold. He averaged 15:36 of ice time for Columbus. In Boston, he played in 15 regular season games and had two assists while averaging 17:36 of ice time.

Many Columbus fans were sad to see Peeke go. He was a true defensive defenseman, something Columbus was lacking. But in the end, they felt like they had who they wanted, making Peeke expendable. We could see Andrew Peeke playing again in the playoffs if the Bruins get past the Maple Leafs.

He still has a lot of fans rooting for him here in the City of Columbus.
