The Belleville Senators have signed forward Keean Washkurak to a one-year deal, the team announced Friday.
A product of Waterloo, Ont., Washkurak spent this past season playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds where he scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points in 63 regular season games.
Drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Washkurak spent the past three seasons in the Blues organization.
Prior to turning pro, Washkurak played for the Mississauga Steelheads (OHL) from 2017-2020, scoring 44 goals and adding 70 assists for 114 points in 176 career games.
As Washkurak joins the Senators for the upcoming season, he will have the opportunity to earn minutes out of training camp. Although his production stalled at times last season, he has shown the ability to produce in the past.
