The Manitoba Moose have re-signed forward Mark Liwiski to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.
A product of Dauphin, Man., Liwiski spent time with both the Moose and the Norfolk Admirals (ECHL) this past season. In seven games with the Moose, he collected two points. With Norfolk, Liwiski scored 11 goals and added 14 assists for 25 points in 54 regular season games.
Prior to turning pro in 2022, Liwiski played junior hockey in the WHL (Everett Silvertips, & Kelowna Rockets) and the MJHL (OCN Blizzard). In 204 career WHL games, he had 52 goals and 44 assists for 96 points.
As Liwiski re-ups with the Moose for another season, he could very well see time with the Admirals again in 2024-25. Collecting 310 penalty minutes in 54 games (to lead the ECHL), Liwiski likes to play a physical brand of hockey while still being an important offensive contributor.
