The Roadrunners will play at least 30 games in Tucson during the 2024-25 season, the team announced Tuesday.
This news comes after the Rio Nuevo District Board of Directors voted unanimously to keep the team playing in Tucson.
The announcement also revealed that the team will remain in Tucson 'for the foreseeable future.'
"The Roadrunners staying here is a win for the region and great news for Arizona hockey,” Fletcher McCusker, Chairman, Rio Nuevo District said in the team's official announcement.
With the AHL's current schedule of 72 games, this is good news for Arizona hockey fans who were dealt a pretty tough blow with the Coyotes moving to Utah.
Currently playing out of the Tucson Convention Center, the Roadrunners are entering their ninth season in the city - having first started playing during the 2016-17 season.
