Cheveldayoff spent this past season playing for the WHL's Spokane Chiefs

The Rochester Americans have signed forward Ty Cheveldayoff to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.

A product of Stony Plain, Alta., Cheveldayoff spent the 2023-24 season playing for the Spokane Chiefs (WHL) where he scored 12 goals and added 23 assists for 35 points in 57 regular season games. In the playoffs with the Chiefs, he had one goal in four games.

Cheveldayoff also spent time with the Maine Mariners (ECHL) after his WHL season ended, putting up one goal in two regular season games and one assist in seven playoff games.

As Cheveldayoff gets set for his first season of professional hockey, he will bring a blend of skill and physicality when he hits the ice with the Americans.
