    Novak put up impressive numbers with the Lions last season

    The Laval Rocket have recalled forward Jakov Novak from the Trois-Rivières Lions, it was announced Monday. 

    A product of Windsor, Ont., Novak is in his second season with the Lions. where he has collected seven goals and added seven assists for 14 points in 13 games. 

    Splitting time between the Rocket and Lions last season, Novak went pointless in two games with Laval and added 56 points in 66 regular season games for Trois-Rivières. 

    Prior to turning pro at the end of 2022-23, Novak played five NCAA seasons with Bentley and Northeastern, putting up 46 goals and 91 points in 161 career games. 

    With Novak set to join the Rocket for the first time this season, he should have the opportunity to see games for the team. Having proven to be someone who can collect points with ease at the ECHL level, Novak should be able to translate his game easily into the AHL.
