The Laval Rocket have signed forward Alex Beaucage to a one-year, one-way deal, the team announced Tuesday.
A product of Trois-Rivières, Que., Beaucage spent the 2023-24 season split between the Colorado Eagles and Utah Grizzlies (ECHL). In 21 games with the Eagles, he collected seven points. With Utah, he scored 11 goals and added 14 assists for 25 points in 29 games.
Since turning pro at the beginning of the 2021-22 season, Beaucage has played in 124 AHL games, putting up 39 points in the process.
Drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Beaucage returns to his home province to join the Rocket. While he has spent the majority of his pro career in the AHL, Beaucage could see time with Trois-Rivières as well this upcoming season.
