The Nashville Predators have re-assigned defenseman Spencer Stastney to the Milwaukee Admirals, the team announced Thursday.
A 2018 fifth-round pick (131st overall) of the Nashville Predators, Stastney split this past season between the Admirals and the Predators.
In 20 regular season games with Nashville, he scored two goals and added two assists for four points while being held pointless in three playoff games.
With the Admirals, Stastney finished third amongst defensemen in points-per-game, scoring five goals and adding 15 assists for 20 points in 44 games.
Before turning pro, Stastney played four seasons in the NCAA with the University of Notre Dame where he had 63 points in 143 games.
With the Admirals currently down 2-1 in their series against the Texas Stars, getting Stastney back is a huge addition as they hope to stave off elimination in Game 4 tomorrow night.
As someone who can be relied upon on both ends of the ice. Stastney gives head coach Karl Taylor added depth on the blue line and with his recent NHL playoff experience, he should be a major contributor.
