Doty has spent the last five seasons playing with the Reign

The Ontario Reign have signed forward Jacob Doty to a one-year extension, the team announced Tuesday.

A product of Billings, MT., Doty has spent the last five seasons playing for the Reign. In 57 regular season games, Doty scored seven goals and added three assists for 10 points while also adding an assist in eight playoff games.

Starting his professional career during the 2014-15 season, Doty has played in numerous leagues including the AHL (Chicago Wolves & Ontario Reign), ECHL (Alaska Aces, Missouri Mavericks & Allen Americans) as well as the EIHL (Braehead Clan & Nottingham Panthers).

As Doty heads into his sixth season with the Reign, he will be coming off AHL career highs in games played, goals and points.

While it may be difficult to reproduce, Doty has proven to be a key member of the Reign who brings energy whenever he steps on the ice.
