Every draft has its own flavor, and 2019 is shaping up to be seriously American. Right at the top, of course, we have Jack Hughes. But his teammates from the U.S. National Team Development Program won’t be far behind. This is shaping up to be a record year for USA Hockey’s shiniest gem. While the NTDP typically contributes about 10 to 12 players per draft class, this year could see nearly every eligible player get an NHL jersey, including both goalies.
When constructing this year’s top 100, we had to be cognizant of how many NTDP players were on the list.
