Nashville's Filip Forsberg has been red hot since the start of March with 14 goals and 26 points in 16 games

Sunday has nine exciting matchups for hockey fans to enjoy and gives us a limited amount of opportunities to look out for another addition to our Pad Stacking Challenge.

If you aren’t familiar, our new betting challenge uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.

If you’ve been involved with the challenge over the past few days, we rolled our initial $10 into $219 before being downed thanks to Quinton Byfield failing to secure a point against the Sharks in a surprising low-scoring game. We tried to start the climb again on Friday with Zach Hyman and were downed once again.

We look to bounce back today and begin the climb once again with a pick from the night’s most exciting matchup between Nashville and New Jersey.

All betting lines are from BetMGM and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Filip Forsberg anytime goal (+125)

The Predators have started to slow down since their red hot winning streak with one win over their last five games and will now take on a Devils team that is still in the playoff race but their hopes are quickly fading away with time running out.

New Jersey’s goaltending has been an issue all season and tonight shouldn’t be an exception with Kaapo Kahkonen expected to start. The 27-year-old Finnish netminder has had a season to forget with a 3.26 goals against average that hasn’t gotten better with one win and a 4.36 average over his last ten starts.

Filip Forsberg has been Nashville’s best player this season and has continued his dominant season with 14 goals and 26 points over his last 16 games with the sixth-most points league-wide in the month of March.

He should slice through the Devils defense that is allowing the second-most goals on average at home this season with a 3.63 rate, that only trails the San Jose Sharks for worst in the league.

If we put our starting $10 on Forsberg to find the back of the net, we would turn it into $22.50 as we look to start a new hot streak into the week.
