Dallas’ Joe Pavelski has the most playoff goals in the league since the 2009-10 season with 68 over 172 playoff games.

Monday features a late night showing with Game three between the Stars travelling to Alberta to take on the Oilers. The series is tied after two games with the Stars looking to steal one on the road just like the Oilers did in Game one.

We’ve been hit or miss lately and look to find some consistency as we are 7-6 over our last 13 picks. We have a 4-3 record in this series with our picks going 3-1 in Game two.

We also have started our roll of the Pad Stacking Challenge that hit in Game two thanks to Jake Oettinger making his over in saves. The newest addition to the Challenge will come out later today.

All betting lines are from BetMGM and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Stars ML (+105), Over 5.5 goals (-115), Joe Pavelski Over 0.5 points (+105)

The Rangers and Panthers showed last night that at this point in the playoffs, teams can still score as they combined for nine goals after we saw five-straight days with games going under six goals.

The Stars were the best road team in the regular season with a record of 26-10-5 that they extended into the playoffs, which is now at 5-1 with their only loss being a 2-0 loss in Game six of the first round versus the Golden Knights.

This should work in Dallas’ favour as the Oilers may have a tougher time with Stuart Skinner between the pipes at home. During this postseason, he has a 3-2 record, a goals against average of 3.61 and a .851 save percentage through five starts at Rogers place.

He should certainly be exploited enough for us to see the first over in goals of the series. The Oilers have average 4.33 goals at home this postseason while the Stars average three goals on the road.

Dallas will need their veterans in Joe Pavelski and Matt Duchene to pick things up as they have no points in this series and have combined for two goals over their last eight playoff games.

Pavelski is the league’s top active playoff goal-scorer with 68 since the 2009-10 season. He has found the back of the net just once and has only found the scoresheet four times this postseason. He needs to pick things up after finishing second in points during the regular season with 67 points in 82 games as a 39-year-old.

The two veterans were paired up with Mason Marchment on a line, who is also due for a goal as he has just one since the start of the second round.

The team is due for some offense and hopefully it comes from Pavelski, who will still see lots of minutes despite his lacklustre play as he is slated on the first powerplay unit that is due for a goal after going 0-6 so far this series.
