The Stars averaged the second-most goals during the regular season with 3.46 and have stayed steady in the postseason with a 3.29 average.

Wednesday has more thrilling Stanley Cup playoff action on tap with the Stars looking to win three games in a row, while the Oilers look to even things up in the series.

The game gives us a few great value bets to take as an addition to the Pad Stacking Challenge, that is now on Day three at $31 thanks to Wyatt Johnston’s goal in Game three.

If you aren’t familiar, our new betting challenge uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.

The Oilers have struggled on defense at home and we look to take advantage with our pick today, that should play well with Dallas’ goal-scoring ability on the road.

All betting lines are from BetMGM and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Stars Over 2.5 goals (-145)

The Stars have been lethal on the road with a 3.29 goals per road game average this postseason, that ranks second behind the Rangers for remaining teams.

Edmonton was rocked in Game three for five goals at home and marked the fifth time in their seven home games so far this postseason, that they’ve allowed three or more goals.

This isn’t good enough to beat a Dallas team that entered the postseason, averaging the second-most goals on the road during the regular season at a 3.46 average.

They’ve been mildly affected by the shift to the postseason and haven’t even had their best road players going yet with veterans Joe Pavelski and Matt Duchene combining for just one goal on the road this postseason.

During the regular season, they were the some of the leaders on the road with 22 combined goals on 40 road games. Pavelski has had almost no effect on the ice this postseason, so we can look to Duchene to possibly breakthrough as he enters with no points in three games after finishing with 65 points, which was third-most on the Stars in the regular season.

If we rolled our $31 with the Stars to score three or more goals, we would bring our new total to $52 and give us a chance to hit the $100 bench mark before the weekend.
