Dallas’ Jake Oettinger has allowed just one goal in five of his last nine starts and reps a .922 save percentage during that span.

Saturday features an exciting Game two matchup between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers, who found a way to steal Game one on the road. Much like the New York Rangers, the Stars will look to even things up on home ice and give us a chance to make a new addition to the Pad Stacking Challenge.
We unfortunately lost on our pick yesterday win New York’s Artemi Panarin as despite his stellar history versus the Panthers, he couldn’t find the back of the net. We looked to bounce back with a pick from tonight’s game as we’ve been fairly successful with picks on the Stars.

Bet: Jake Oettinger Over 26.5 saves (-110)
The American netminder has found consistency in the playoffs as he’s allowed just one goal in five of his last nine starts and reps a .922 save percentage during that span.
He has allowed three or more goals in a few games but in only three games this postseason, he has had a save percentage under .900 with an average of 25.7 saves per game.

This falls under the number we are looking for at 27 but the Oilers know how to make goalies feel pressured as they made Oettinger work in Game one, where he finished with 35 saves. Edmonton is averaging 30.5 shots per game this season with the Stars allowing an average of 28.2 shots per game.
Oettinger has made 26 or more saves in four of his seven career starts versus the Oilers, which means it could be a nail-biter but Edmonton should make their presence felt.
We predicted a Dallas response in our Best Bets for Game two and they should find a way to even up the series but it will require the help of their goaltender. Oettinger in his career has a 56-15-11 record when making 27 or more saves, which means you could also take the Stars on the moneyline if you wanted to boost your odds even more.
