ECHL Rookie Point Leaders 23-24: Mavericks and Growlers Hold Six of the Top Ten
We're heading into the holiday season, and already promising rookies at the ECHL are staking their claims as breakout prospects ready to ascend through the ranks of the game.
Among the top ten in rookie points to start the year, six of the dozen are based from two teams: the Kansas City Mavericks and Newfoundland Growlers.
Maverick's ace Max Andreev tops all rookies with 23 points through 17 games, good for fourth in the entire league. Fellow KC teammates Cade Borchardt and Kyle Jackson crack the list.
The Growlers are led by rookie goal-scoring leader Grant Cruikshank, who is also joined by line mate Jackson Berezowski and Johnny Tychoink.
Elsewhere the Railers produced two top-ten rookies, with Fort Wayne and Idaho landing one apiece.
