This move completes a Feb. 10 trade and is the “future considerations’ part of that deal, which included the acquisition of Mitchell Smith.

Manz played 20 games with the Rush after being acquired from the Wheeling Nailers on Dec. 4, 2024. He scored a goal and added three assists for four points with a +2 rating during his time with Rapid City.

In a separate transaction, the Rush also announced forward Trevor Janicke has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Calgary Wranglers.

The 24-year-old Janicke was reassigned to the Rush on Feb. 3. He skated in all six games of Rapid City’s active winning streak.

Over the last four games, the rookie right-shot forward recorded nine points (4-5-9) including a four-assist game against the Maine Mariners on Feb. 13. His third-period goal on Feb. 15 stood as the game-winner.

The Rush are back in action Friday evening in Utah against the Grizzlies. Puck drop is set for 7:10 Pm MT.
