New NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team players released for the week of January 24th

New HUT Team of The Week cards have been released for the week of January 24th. Below we will discuss what the players did to earn their cards and how the card can help your team.

All player stats are from the games that occurred between the release of the Team of The Week on January 17th and the release of this set.

At 93 overall Matthews and MacKinnon tie Matthew Tkachuk with the highest rated TOTW cards this season, while Hedman becomes the highest rated TOTW defenseman.

Kirill Kaprizov - 88, LW, SNP

Kaprizov notched five goals and two assists over the last week, including a hat trick against Carolina. This is tied with his X-Factor card as Kaprizov's highest rated HUT card.

This card has a great shot with synergy and superstar abilities to help make Kaprizov an elite scorer.

Joel Persson - 90, RD, TWD

Persson had three assists and was a plus four in three games for Vaxjo HC this week.

Any large, right-handed defenseman is as important in HUT as they are in real-life, and Persson is a well rounded card with a strong shot and deking stats for a defenseman.

David Pastrnak - 91, RW, SNP

Pastrnak had four goals and six points over three games, including a hat trick against Colorado.

This is an elite goal scoring card, with synergies that can increase your team's shooting ability.

Victor Hedman - 91, LD, OFD

Hedman had six points in four games over the past week, including a four point game against Minnesota.

Any Hedman card is a must-have, and this cards synergies and superstar abilities allow you to boost Hedman's already strong shot and offensive awareness.

Auston Matthews - 93, C, SNP

Matthews had four goals and six points in three games this week, including a hat trick against Calgary.

Continuing the trend of elite scorers in this release, this is Matthews' highest-rated card and comes equipped with 99 overall wrist and slap shot accuracy.

Nathan MacKinnon - 93, C, PLY

MacKinnon continued his MVP form, posting 5 points in two games last week, one of those being a four-point game against Philadelphia.

He celebrated getting a TOTW card by scoring four goals and an assist against Washington hours after the card was released. 

This card is an all-around offensive monster with synergies that will emphasize MacKinnon's speed and agility.
