The University of Michigan hockey team just got a little stronger.
Columbus Blue Jackets draft pick William Whitelaw will transfer to Michigan for next season, which will be Whitelaw's sophomore season. He announced the transfer on his Instagram page.
Whitelaw was at Wisconsin for his freshman season where he played in 37 games and had 17 points. Many people who follow college hockey claim that he was underutilized at Wisconsin.
He will be expected to come in and help the Wolverines try to get back to the Frozen Four.
