Kampf, a known workhorse, was seen performing an inspiring workout in an Instagram Story posted by his wife, Eliska, Wednesday.

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ season concluded a month ago amidst an opening-round series loss to the Boston Bruins. For some members of the Leafs, their hockey season ended as recently as a couple of weeks ago at the Men’s World Hockey Championship. One forward included in that regard was David Kampf, who took part in his second-ever World Hockey Championship, winning the gold while finishing with two goals and five assists in nine games.

Not even two weeks removed from on-ice activity, Kampf is already back to work in his offseason training as seen in his wife’s, Eliska, motivating Instagram story Wednesday.

The Czechia native is seemingly already preparing for the 2024-25 campaign in Toronto. Seen doing consecutive reps of a body row exercise, likely as part of an entire workout, Kampf is working to keep his title as the fittest on the team.

In a video posted by the club in November of 2022, Kampf stood out as a fitness fanatic and health extraordinaire when he claimed “I don’t eat cheat meals, not for me.”

After a quality season as a valued penalty killer and defensive forward, general manager Brad Treliving re-signed Kampf to a four-year $9.6 million contract with a cap hit of $2.4 million a season on June 23, 2023. In the 2023-24 campaign, Kampf scored eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points before tacking on an additional assist in seven postseason games.

His play at the Men’s World Hockey Championship cemented further optimism for Leafs fans as he helped secure Czechia’s first gold medal since 2010 with a team-leading +9 rating in the tournament. Coming off a stellar end to the season, Kampf has plenty to build off heading into the 2024-25 campaign.
