Zhukov is currently splitting time between the Long Island Gulls and Boston Hockey Academy
Boston Hockey Academy 16U and Long Island Gulls 16U forward Alexei Zhukov has committed to Providence, it was announced Friday.
Zhukov, a product of Yekaterinburg, Russia, is currently splitting time between the Gulls and BHA. In 37 games for Long Island, Zhukov has posted 20 goals and 40 points while putting up 11 goals and 24 points in 16 games for BHA.
Although Zhukov played a few games in the U.S. in 2022-23, this is his first full season on North American ice. Prior to coming over, he played his minor hockey for Yunost Yekaterinburg.
As Zhukov gets more experience under his belt, he will only continue to get better. Having already impressed the Friars enough to earn himself a commitment, Zhukov will be one to watch as he moves along on his developmental path.
