Former Northeastern forward Nick Rheaume has signed a one-year deal with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, it was announced last week.

Rheaume, a product of Sherbrooke, Que., just finished his third season in the NCAA and first with the Huskies, scoring two goals and adding two assists for four points in 37 games. Across a total of 98 career NCAA games with Northeastern and UMass Lowell, Rheaume has put up 14 goals and seven assists for 21 points.

Before heading to the collegiate level, Rheaume played his junior hockey with the BCHL's Prince George Spruce Kings, collecting 73 points in 73 games across two seasons.

Although Rheaume inked with the Marlies, he will likely spend the majority of the 2025-26 season with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones. A physical player who is hard to knock off the puck, Rheaume has the skills needed to make the jump to the pro game and could see games with the Marlies this upcoming season.
