DiMatteo just wrapped up his first season with the Sharks after spending time at Northern Michigan

Long Island junior goaltender Rico DiMatteo is transferring to the University of New Hampshire, Mike Lowry reported Saturday.
A product of Brasher Falls, N.Y., DiMatteo just finished his first season with Long Island, posting a 3-4-0 record to go along with a 2.98 GAA and a .874 SV% in 11 appearances. Before heading to the Sharks, DiMatteo spent parts of three seasons at Northern Michigan.
Prior to joining the NCAA, DiMatteo played junior hockey in the CCHL (Cornwall Colts) and NAHL (Lone Star Brahmas).
While DiMatteo struggled in his lone season with the Sharks, he has shone flashes of what he can attain in the NCAA, being named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team in 2020-21. If DiMatteo can find that level again, it could be a great add by New Hampshire.
