
NHL Central Scouting's highly anticipated rankings were released on Tuesday with six NCAA players named to the final list.
Amongst the North American goalies and skaters list, one NCAA goalie and five NCAA players were named, with three of the top four positions on the players' list having suited up for colleges across the United States this past season.
Leading the way, it was projected No. 1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini. Celebrini had one of the most impressive freshman seasons seen in a long time, taking home the Hobey Baker and the praise from scouts all over the NHL.
Right behind him, ranked second on the North American skaters list, was Michigan State defender Artyom Levshunov. The native of Zhlobin, BLR. and B1G Defensive Player of the Year is a projected top 10 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Levshunov has drawn praise for his physical maturity and smart decision making with the puck.
Ranked fourth on the North American skater list, Denver defender Zeev Buium is another projected top 10 pick. Buium, a member of the national champion Pioneers, was one of the most impressive college hockey stories this past season, finishing with 50 points in 42 games.
Other players included on the lists were Michigan Tech defender Chase Pietila (108th amongst North American skaters), Providence winger Tanner Adams (140th amongst North American skaters) and Maine goalie Albin Boija (22nd amongst North American goalies).
All freshmen this past season, Pietila finished his season with 22 points in 40 points from the backend while Adams had 21 points in 35 games. Boija, the native of Sundsvall, Swe., finished with a record of 10-6-1 to go with a 2.01 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.
