New York Islanders No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer told a select few of us at the 2025 NHL combine that he loves to talk.
Actions have spoken louder than words, from our long talks on draft night to this past week at development camp.
Up next for Schaefer is an in interview with the Spittin Chiclet's crew.
Schaefer, who turns 18 on Sept. 5, will be fighting to earn a roster spot this fall. He's a trenemdous kid and an incredible player who not only is now the face of the franchise but will no doubt be a future captain for this organization.
No time has been shared just yet as to when Spittin' Chiclets will be dropping the interview on Tuesday.
