A quick look at five games worth watching this week in the NHL

New Jersey Devils at Toronto Maple Leafs: The Devils visit Air Canada Centre to play Toronto for the first time since Cam Janssen sidelined Tomas Kaberle with a late hit. The Maple Leafs are still fighting for a playoff spot so revenge won't be No. 1 on their minds, but don't be surprised if coach Paul Maurice dresses tough guy Wade Belak for just the third time since late February. Just in case.

Nashville Predators at Vancouver Canucks: Nashville is the NHL's first 100-point team this season and starts a three-game trip through Western Canada with this game in Vancouver. The Canucks enter the week on a 7-2-1 roll and will get a good test from the league's No. 1 team. Vancouver wants to keep winning as it vies for first place in the Northwest Division.

Colorado Avalanche at Edmonton Oilers: Joe Sakic looks ageless and his Avalanche look like a team of destiny. They enter the week just four points behind Calgary for the final Western Conference playoff spot after trailing by as many as 10 quite recently. This game will be Colorado's second in a row at Rexall Place against an Edmonton team that is still struggling with numerous injuries and the deadline day trade of Ryan Smyth.

St. Louis Blues at Detroit Red Wings: The Red Wings continue a homestand and will likely be playing with Todd Bertuzzi. He was acquired from Florida at the trade deadline but has been limited to just seven games this season because of a back injury. Bertuzzi hasn't been the same player since his attack on Steve Moore three years ago so it will be interesting to see if he can become the latest one to flourish in Hockeytown USA.

New York Rangers at New York Islanders: Are there enough storylines surrounding this game? The division rivals, in a tight battle with one another for a playoff spot, play for the first time since Islanders forward Chris Simon was slapped with a 25-game suspension for his vicious slash to the face of Ryan Hollweg. Expect to see that replay a few more times before this game is played. By the way, the Islanders lead the season series 4-2.
