Does it really make sense to advertise the NHL during a hockey game when we're not the audience that needs it?
While watching a game the other night, I saw a commercial for Versus at least once per commercial break.
If I'm already watching the NHL, why would I need ads to make me watch more?
The NHL needs to be advertising on major U.S. networks such as CNN, NBC, and ABC, networks that many people are watching every night.
Yes, it may be a little more expensive, but in the long run they will make money from more fans in America watching hockey.
Isn't that the goal of the league right now, to get more American viewers?
