I have been a fan of hockey for more than 40 years and I have been a fan because the players were respectful, humble, professional, hard working and generous to their fans.
Sean Avery is the antithesis of an NHL player.
I've seen immature and disrespectful behavior from Avery on too many occasions and the Dec. 2 occurrence was over the line.
Good riddance.
