Anaheim Ducks acquire tough guy Parros from Colorado Avalanche

In addition, the deal includes an option for the teams to exchange third-round choices at the end of the season.

Parros appeared in just two games with the Avalanche this season after being claimed off waivers from Los Angeles last month. He was minus-1 with no penalty minutes.

The 27-year-old is earning US$450,000 this season.

Colorado now has three second-round draft choices in the upcoming draft.
