ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have put defenceman Andreas Lilja on the active roster and assigned defenceman Luca Sbisa to their AHL affiliate in Syracuse.

The Ducks made the moves Saturday after Lilja received his work visa.

Sbisa appeared in two games with the Ducks this season. The Swiss defenceman hasn't won a full-time NHL job during parts of three seasons with Philadelphia and Anaheim.

The Ducks signed Lilja on Monday. The longtime Detroit Red Wings defenceman went to training camp with San Jose on a tryout.

Defenceman Toni Lydman made his season debut Friday night with the Ducks, scoring a goal in a 5-4 shootout loss to Atlanta. Lydman missed training camp and Anaheim's first four games because of double vision.

Anaheim hosts Phoenix on Sunday night.
