PRAGUE - Artem Anisimov and Ruslan Fedotenko scored in the second period Thursday to give the New York Rangers a 2-0 win over Sparta Prague in a pre-season game.

Anisimov broke the deadlock 5:45 into the second with a backhander off a pass from Tim Erixon before Fedotenko doubled the lead on a power play less than three minutes later. Erixon and Michael Del Zotto assisted on the second goal.

Sparta wasted several chances in the first period before the Rangers took charge in the second.

The Rangers continue their European tour by playing Frolunda in Sweden on Friday, Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia on Sunday and EV Zug in Switzerland on Monday. They then return to Sweden to start the regular season against the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 7-8 in Stockholm.
