Connor McDavid's astonishing junior hockey career is close to its conclusion, but it feels like every night he plays, the Erie Otters superstar is setting some type of new record in the Ontario Hockey League. That was true Tuesday night when McDavid scored an empty-net goal in the second round of the OHL playoffs to help sweep the London Knights and give the 18-year-old an amazing 14 points in four games, establishing a new franchise mark for points in a post-season series.

McDavid began the series against London with a pair of goals and four points in Game 1, scored a team-record five goals in Game 2, then chipped in three assists in Game 3. He had an assist to go along with his empty-net goal in the series-clinching win Tuesday.

After sweeping the Knights into the off-season, McDavid's Otters now move on to the Western Conference Final to square off against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. And after he's selected with the first overall pick by a very fortunate team in this summer's NHL entry draft, McDavid will be moving on to blowing people's minds and setting new records in hockey's best league.
