The Arizona Coyotes will have some new threads this season.

The club officially unveiled their Arizona-themed "Desert Night" third jerseys on Wednesday afternoon, announcing plans for the team to wear the new uniform for 14 home games on their remaining schedule, beginning on Sunday, Jan. 22 versus the Vegas Golden Knights.

The jersey was designed by Coyotes creative strategist and global fashion designer Rhuigi Villasenor, also the founder and creative director of Rhude, an L.A.-based streetwear brand, and a creative director for Bally.

"My inspiration for the third jersey came from the environment, the community, the colors, and the clay - roots of the AZ Culture," explained Villasenor in a statement.

"I feel honored to pioneer with the Coyotes the reimagining of the sport alongside culture and design," said Villasenor.

From a design perspective, the jersey is burgundy in color and features a sand-colored "Arizona" across the front, with a star accenting the 'i.' In a unique twist, the Coyotes' patented half-moon design will be used to illustrate the captain's 'C' on the sweater's upper shoulder, while an Arizona-themed cactus will illustrate the assistant captain's 'A'. And, of course, the bottom of the jersey will feature the organization's famous Kachina print.

The uniform also has a desert cactus on the right side of the pants and small geckos inside the jersey's collar, which throws back to the Coyotes' original green third jersey.

The Coyotes have been famous for their array of appealing jerseys throughout their organizational history. It appears as if they now have yet another to add to the list.
