Kudos to the writers in Vancouver on Jan. 16 for selecting the Penguins 19-year-old goalie Alex Pechurski as the game’s third star.

Sure he only faced 13 shots in mop-up duty for a one-sided game, but giving him the honor was the icing on the cake for his first NHL game.

A clip showed he wasn’t even sure what to do after he was announced; someone had to point him to the ice to skate in a circle.
