I am completely fed up with television announcers yapping throughout the entire game, instead of calling the shots on the ice.
I am sick of penalties being called and the announcers never informing the viewers who was penalized and for what, because they are too busy talking about god knows what.
I hate trying to figure out which players are being matched against one another (often difficult on television), because the announcers can’t be bothered with such ‘trivial’ details.
This, combined with a seemingly endless barrage of irritating ‘pop-ups’ on the screen, make watching games on Versus a chore, to say the least.
How do network executives expect viewers to pay attention to hockey games when the guys they hire to broadcast them aren’t even paying attention?
