Avalanche centre Paul Stastny out at least two weeks with broken foot

DENVER – Colorado Avalanche centre Paul Stastny is out for at least two weeks and could miss the rest of the season with a broken foot.

Stastny was injured while blocking a shot at Minnesota on March 17 and will be out two-to-four weeks, the team said Wednesday. Team doctor Andrew Parker said a CT scan revealed the fracture Tuesday.

The Avalanche are last in the Western Conference standings and in the midst of their worst season since moving from Quebec City in 1995. They play their final regular-season game April 12.
