Batter up! See Brad Marchand’s amazing baseball-swing goal

The Boston Bruins left winger opened the scoring last night with an incredible swat from the slot in his team’s victory over Toronto. Check out the highlights from hockey’s own lil’ slugger.

The Boston Bruins usually have some pretty good luck against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but last night Brad Marchand combined skill with good fortune. Check out the left winger’s ‘home run’ goal against the Buds:



That is some mighty fine hand-eye co-ordination, not to mention some nice plays to set the whole thing up in the first place. Too bad Dion Phaneuf doesn’t have some Ken Griffey, Jr. in him – otherwise he could have flashed some leather to keep that one in the ballpark.

Anyway, the Bruins ended up winning the game 4-3 in the shootout.
