Bears four-goal outburst drops Manitoba 5-1; Hershey’s point streak continues

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears reeled off four unanswered goals in the third period to earn a 5-1 win over the Manitoba Moose in American Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Greentree and Ashton Rome scored 20 seconds apart for Hershey (31-14-4), to cap the four-goal outburst. Zach Miskovic and Boyd Kane also scored in the third.

Brian Willsie had his 22nd of the season in the first period, as the Bears have earned a point in nine consecutive games with eight wins and a 5-4 shootout loss to the Moose on Saturday night.

Bill Sweatt was the lone scorer for Manitoba (28-15-6), while Tyler Weiman made 24 saves.

It was a physical game, with both teams earning 33 minutes of penalties. Hershey was 2-for-6 on the power play, while the Moose couldn’t score on their six man advantages.
