Bergevin’s awesome dance moves create an Internet stir and plenty o’ mirth

Habs GM Marc Bergevin has done a lot of funny stuff in his time. On this latest occasion, it wasn’t as orchestrated. His fab dance moves following his team’s win the other night are something to behold.

Montreal Canadiens’ GM Marc Bergevin, known as a hard-core prankster during his playing days, is the subject of some guffaws thanks to a viral video.

Bergevin did his happy dance after Dale Weise scored the overtime goal for the Habs over Tampa Bay the other night, celebrating with moves rarely seen in NHL arenas. Quebec-based Les Satiriques took the footage and ran with it, creating a “Dance Party” mix that’s widely making the rounds.

This isn’t the first time Bergevin has been caught on video doing something he might want to take back. Only the previous time it had more gravity. As a member of the St. Louis Blues in 2000, he scored an own-goal in a game against the San Jose Sharks. And it wasn’t your garden variety own-goal – he actually threw the puck into his own net.
