Bettman an easy, but undeserving target

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but Gary Bettman has done a great job.

Just look at this year’s playoffs: Stars vs. Stars; Boston and Chicago back from the dead; Game 7s galore; it’s been one of if not the best playoffs ever.

Not only that, but because of the league’s new cap structure Bettman fought for, the league will come out on the other end of the current recession in good shape.

There will eventually be a second franchise in the Toronto area because it makes good business sense to do it, but don’t get on Bettman’s case for not allowing that to happen at this point in time. After all, the middle of a recession is not the time to expand or radically alter anything.
