Blackhawks captain Toews skates with team, 1st time in 3 weeks

CHICAGO – Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews (tayvz) skated for the first time Thursday since he was injured nearly three weeks ago.

Toews was on the ice before the Blackhawks had a morning practice at their facility near the United Center. He has not played since Feb 19 because of an upper body injury that has been widely reported as a concussion. He will miss his ninth straight game Friday when Chicago hosts the New York Rangers.
