Blue Jackets recall Russian forward Nikita Filatov from AHL affiliate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled forward Nikita Filatov from the club’s American Hockey League team in Syracuse.

Filatov, 18, is expected to help a roster that is missing several injured forwards. He was the Blue Jackets’ first-round pick in last summer’s draft.

Filatov had eight goals and three assists in seven games while leading Russia to a bronze medal last weekend at the world junior hockey championship in Ottawa.
