Bret Hart helps Calgary Hitmen unveil 20th anniversary jersey

The Western League team returns to its roots with a pink retro sweater that features the famous wrestler’s catch phrase on the shoulder patch and flames on the sleeves.

Famed wrestler Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart was one of the original owners of the Western League’s Calgary Hitmen and the reason the team was named as such. With the franchise reaching its 20th anniversary next season, a new retro jersey has been released honoring the Hitmen’s roots.

As modeled by left winger Connor Rankin (with Hart wearing the original), the anniversary edition features two shoulder patches, a “sunburst” Hitmen logo and another with Hart’s catch phrase from his wrestling days: “The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be.”
