Brouwer returning from shoulder injury to play in Game 1 against Canucks

VANCOUVER – Chicago forward Troy Brouwer is returning from a shoulder injury to start the first game of the Blackhawks’ first-round playoff series against the Vancouver Canucks.

Brouwer says he’s ready to battle in front of the net to try to disrupt Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo in Game 1 Wednesday night after missing the last three games of the regular season. The Vancouver native had 17 goals and 36 points in the 79 games before that.
