Bruins aim for seventh straight win vs. Hurricanes

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) — The Boston Bruins will look
to extend their season-long winning streak to seven games when
they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.

The Bruins have not won seven contests in a row since closing
the 1992-93 season with eight straight victories.

Tim Thomas made 25 saves Tuesday to record his third shutout of
the season as Boston posted its 15th win in 17 games, a 2-0
triumph over the New Jersey Devils.

Phil Kessel had his 18-game points streak snapped against New
Jersey. Kessel leads the club with 21 goals.
