Bruins hope to rebound against Wild

BOSTON (Ticker) — The Boston Bruins had a pair of impressive
streaks snapped the last time out.

The Bruins will hope to bounce back Tuesday when they host the
Minnesota Wild.

Boston suffered a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday,
ending a 10-game winning streak. The setback also snapped the
Bruins’ 14-game winning streak at the TD Banknorth Garden.

Despite the loss, Boston is still 14-2-1 at home this season.
The Bruins also own a 12-point edge in the Northeast Division
and have the best record in the Eastern Conference by seven

Niklas Backstrom made 33 saves to record his fourth shutout of
the season and Owen Nolan netted a pair of goals in the first
period, leading the Wild to a 2-0 victory over the Colorado
Avalanche on Sunday.

Backstrom stopped 10 shots in the first period, 12 more in the
next and 11 in the third to complete his 13th career blanking.
