Bruins recall Hannu Toivonen and send Philippe Sauve back down

Philippe Sauve was returned to Providence.

Toivonen, in his fourth year in the Bruins organization, has played seven games for Boston this season with two wins and a 4.20 goals-against average.

After starting the season in Boston, Toivonen was assigned to Providence on Nov. 7. He played five AHL games and won one while posting a 3.33 GAA.

In 2005-06, the Finn was 9-5-4 and hda a goals-against average of 2.63 in 20 appearances with the Bruins. He missed the final 41 games of the season due to an ankle sprain that he suffered on Jan. 5 against Ottawa.
