Cammalleri, Flames can extend winning run vs. Predators

CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) — Mike Cammalleri has provided quite
a spark for the Calgary Flames.

Aiming for their 10th win in 11 tries at home, Cammalleri and
the Flames host the Nashville Predators on Friday.

On Wednesday, Cammalleri recorded his second career hat trick
and extended his goal streak to four games as Calgary cruised to
a 5-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

The 26-year-old Cammalleri has eight goals during his current
streak, and 13 goals in his last 11 games. His prowess has
helped the Flames notch wins in 11 of their last 14 contests

Cammalleri’s effort against Buffalo increased his goals total
for the month of January to a league-best 11. He has a
team-leading 25 tallies this season and is nine away from tying
his career-high mark set with the Los Angeles Kings in 2006-07.

Nashville snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over
the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.

J.P. Dumont scored the game-winner early in the third period,
captain Jason Arnott notched his 800th career point while Joel
Ward, Martin Erat and David Legwand also tallied for Nashville,
which scored three power-play goals in a game for the first time
this season.

Defensemen Dan Hamhuis and Ryan Suter recorded two assists
