Canadiens try to get back into win column

Montreal (16-8-5) at Carolina (13-12-5), 7:00 p.m. EST

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) — After a disappointing end to
their homestand, the Montreal Canadiens visit the Carolina
Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Montreal scored one goal in each of its last two home games –
both resulting in losses – to end its season-long, seven-game
homestand at 4-2-1.

The Canadiens went 0-for-8 on the power play and were defeated,
2-1, by the Washington Capitals on Saturday.

Defenseman Patrice Brisebois scored Montreal’s lone goal in the
loss to Washington and the 37-year-old also had the only tally
in Thursday’s 3-1 setback to Tampa Bay.

Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers. Carolina did not
score in any of its five attempts in the bonus format.
